Common problems
The ✨ button doesn't appear
- Refresh the page once. AI sites are single-page apps; if the URL changed without a full reload, the extension may still be re-injecting.
- Confirm you're on a supported site:
chatgpt.com,chat.openai.com,claude.ai,gemini.google.com,chat.deepseek.com,perplexity.ai. - Check the extension is enabled at
chrome://extensionsand not paused for the current site.
I clicked ✨ but nothing happens / I see "Sign in"
- Open the extension popup (puzzle-piece icon → AskBetter AI) and complete Google sign-in.
- If sign-in seems stuck, click "Sign Out" and sign back in. The token cache occasionally gets out of sync after long idle periods.
"Daily limit reached" on the free tier
Free users get 15 boosts per day. The counter resets 24 hours after your first boost of the day. To remove the limit, start the 7-day free trial from the popup.
The stream stops too early / mid-word
Typing in the input box while the stream is running automatically takes you over — this is intentional ("edit to override"). If you didn't touch the keyboard, it may be a network hiccup; click ✨ again. If it keeps happening, please report it with your browser version and AI site.
I want to cancel my subscription
- Open the extension popup.
- Click Manage Subscription.
- You'll be sent to Stripe's customer portal — click Cancel plan.
You retain access until the end of the current billing period; after that your account drops to the free tier (15/day) without losing your data.
I want to delete my account and all data
Email us at the address above with the subject "AskBetter AI — delete account". We will remove your account record, subscription references, and activity counters; logs containing your identifiers are purged in the next 30-day rotation.
I think I was charged in error
Email us with the date and amount of the charge. We will investigate and, if it was an error, issue a refund through Stripe. See the refunds section of the Terms for policy details.

If you believe you've found a vulnerability, please email us directly — do not file a public issue. We'll triage and respond within a few days.
